Music – What’s the deal?

September 30, 2013 By Kuba

WOW! It’s been a month since we launched, and already we are getting SO much positive feedback from our videos! We can’t thank everyone enough for how awesome you have all been. Your support means the world to us!

Today we have to discuss a somewhat touchy subject – our music selections.

As a creative company, we take licensing, and theft of creative content incredibly seriously. There have been dozens, if not hundreds of people that claim to have the ability to do a ‘slow motion booth’ but that are simply stealing our friends at SFST (www.sfst.com) video that they produce for Quang and Ellie. Keep in mind that The Slow Motion Booth is the ONLY company that has a contract with SFST. And we don’t even use their video – because we didn’t create it. Using someone elses video on a website is just plain wrong – and it’s illegal.

The same thing is true when it comes to the use of music. Tons of video companies (slow motion or not) use songs that they have not licensed, because they want to have access to any music they want, and because they don’t want to pay for it. Well friends – that too – is theft.

The Slow Motion Booth uses only 100% legally licensed music for all of our videos. Now keep in mind, that different licenses are required for different uses of a video. Something that’s put online is different than something that’s on TV for example. We work directly with companies like Song Freedom (www.songfreedom.com) and The Music Bed (https://www.themusicbed.com/) to handle all of our music licensing needs. You can bet your bottom dollar that any video that you have ever seen, or will ever see, from The Slow Motion Booth will always be 100% on the up and up.

We want to thank everyone for supporting us and supporting the fact that we want to help out other artists too.
